For Community

Closing the digital divide in East Gippsland, together.

Bytes & Biscuits helps Neighbourhood Houses and community groups access Good Things Foundation grants to deliver digital literacy support for older members — with training, delivery support, and administration handled by us.

Good Things Foundation offers grants of up to $5,200 for eligible organisations supporting older Australians with digital literacy. If your organisation regularly connects with people aged 50+, you're likely eligible — and we'll help you apply.

You focus on your community. We handle the structure behind the scenes.

IFinding the right fit

Is your organisation eligible?

Bytes & Biscuits community partnerships work well for:

  • Neighbourhood Houses and community centres

  • Community groups and not-for-profits with regular older attendees

  • Sporting clubs and associations with older members

If older people already trust your organisation and show up regularly, you have everything you need to get started.

The Numbers

What funding is available?

Good Things Foundation Building Digital Skills grants for outer regional areas — which includes all of East Gippsland — come in two sizes:

  • $3,000 to support 15 older learners over 12 months

  • $5,200 to support 37 older learners over 12 months

Grant funds can cover delivery costs, marketing, devices, data plans, and more. We support you through the application process and, if successful, assist with ongoing administration and reporting so the grant doesn't become a burden on your team.

How It Works

What does a partnership actually involve?

Not as much as you might think. Here's how it works:

  • You identify older members or attendees who'd benefit from digital support

  • We support you to apply for Good Things Foundation grant funding

  • If successful, we train Digital Mentors and manage delivery

  • Sessions run at your venue, alongside your existing activities

  • We handle learner registration, activity tracking, and reporting

  • You hold the grant contract and govern your own program

Sessions are designed to fit around what you're already doing — before or after an existing program, alongside a morning tea, or at your regular weekly gathering. No new infrastructure, no additional staff required.
